McCarthy Warehouse

West Washington and South Clinton Street

Designed by Archimedes Russell in 1877, the McCarthy warehouse was originally designed to serve as a retail store. It later became part of the Edward's Department Store and was then known as the Edward's Annex.

The authors of Architecture Worth Saving said of the building, "The rhythmic fenestration, corbelling and studied details typify the better work of this period and of the architect."

The McCarthy building has since been replaced by  the new AT&T building.
