Andrew Block
West Fayette & Clinton

It's remarkable the Andrews Block avoided the wrecking ball as long as it did. Saying it survived "largely by accident" in a rapidly changing part of town, the authors of Architecture Worth Saving cited it as "an example of the charm possessed by business streets in the post-Civil-War years."

It has since been torn down to make way for a parking lot.
